U.S. Will not Invest in 2020 Summer time Olympic games

The U.S. Olympic Committee has made the decision to not enter an offer to host the 2020 Summer time Games, a spokesperson told the Chicago Tribune on Monday. This news means the Games won't occur within the U . s . States not less than another 11 years. The USOC over the past weekend told the seven potential bid metropolitan areas -- Chicago, Dallas, Vegas, La, Ontario, New You are able to and Tulsa, Okla. -- about its decision. Your decision isn't an entire surprise: USOC authorities have stated for several weeks they wouldn't submit an offer for that 2020 Games until it resolves its historical revenue-discussing dispute using the Worldwide Olympic Committee. One of the metropolitan areas which have expressed their intention to submit bids through the Sept. 1 deadline are Tokyo, japan, Madrid, Istanbul and Rome. The IOC can make its selection in September 2013. Meanwhile, the broadcast privileges towards the 2020 Games were locked up by NBCUniversal/Comcast in June. The organization won the privileges included in an offer which includes the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic games, 2016 Rio p Janeiro Summer time Games and 2018 Games. The organization outperform ESPN/ABC and News Corp.'s Fox, which in fact had also bid for that privileges package in presentations in Lausanne, Europe. Related Subjects Worldwide
